About

I am Karl-Henry Martinsson, also known as “TexasSwede”. As my nickname (and maybe sometimes my grammar) may give away, I am originally from Sweden, but living in the US since 1998, and in Texas since 2002.

This is my personal website. Over the years I have had a couple of different websites, and a few years ago I started redesigning my site. I did not get it finished as many other things came up, both in my personal life and at work. Now I have taken the time to create a CMS that will let me easily populate the website with contents. The site is built using IBM Domino 9.0 (formerly known as Lotus Domino). Since I work as a Notes/Domino developer, it was natural for me to choose this very powerful platform.

I have been working with Lotus Notes since 1996, starting with version 4.0. I have also been programming using Javascript, Visual Basic, C, Pascal and a few other languages and tools over the years. You can read more about how I started with programming and some of the systems and languages I been working with on this page. I also do some web design work using Javascript frameworks like jQuery, jQuery UI and (recently) jQuery Mobile, as well as Bootstrap.

I have been blogging since 2008, mostly about IBM Notes and Domino but also about other subjects, not all of them related to computers and technology.

Enjoy your visit!
